MULTICULTURAL

BURNING DESIRE
“But this is of the essence of the Occult Wisdom concerning Daäth. For Daäth is the crown of the Ruach, the Intellect; and its place is in the Abyss. That is, it breaks into pieces immediately it is examined. There is no coherence below the Abyss, or in it; to obtain this, which is one of the chief canons of Truth, we must reach Neschamah.”

PS: Don't worry too much. She's a witch.

OK, no more mister nice guy. No more soft colours and Sinatra twiddly-dee-dee. This is Chelsea Wolfe - Live at the Newtown Radio, Tracks (Tall Bodies) and Pale On Pale. But you don't have to stop there. Chelsea Wolfe - Live on KEXP is beautiful. Go!
(Good festival memories, vol.4)

Bill Frisell - Shenandoah.

ERIC THEODORE CARTMAN
Nothing to see here, move along, move along. Too many places to be, to many things to do today. This is all I got. Kind of intermezzo. ;)

This sounds pretty much different if you imagine Cartman singing it. :D 10CC - I'm Not in Love.

HEADLESS ICE CREAM SALESMAN
We sail in a ship and the timbers are weak
Through the storm clouds the rainbows the rainbows we seek

We sail for horizons that one day will end
To sleep with the fishes on that we depend

The storm when it breaks we shiver with fear
In our bowels we do know we'll face no new year

We sail for horizons that one day will end
To sleep with the fishes on that we depend

Absolute masterpiece: The Tiger Lillies - Sleep With The Fishes or the same track with marvelous Belle Mellor's animated short.

17 Sept 2014

15 Sept 2014

LIFE CHANGES MONSTER
Don't ask about his true identity. I'm still puzzled.

Life changes happen everyday, the place to make your play. See the skyline for the very first time. Sunrise blinds your eyes and it feels just fine. Think of all the years that it's been around. You're here, have no fear, good times are 'round.

Ski Oakenfull & Rose Smith - Life Changes

14 Sept 2014

WOODEN HORSE
I came out of the darkness
Holding one thing
A small white wooden horse
I'd been holding inside

Suzanne Vega - Wooden Horse

13 Sep. 2014.

British pub, eight ball, smoke, rich scent of the wood and these guys with far away eyes on the stage. No, wait, that was Texas 78. :) And if you're downright disgusted and life ain't worth a dime, get a girl with far away eyes. Rolling Stones - Far Away Eyes (Live)

ROOTY TOOT TOOT
All of us are primates and some of us were classmates,
Some of us were lovers in the fall,
There were periods of fondness,
And periods of blondness,
Periods that never came at all.

Singing rooty toot toot for the moon,
It's the biggest star I've ever seen,
It's a pearl of wisdom, a slice of green cheese,
Burning just like kerosene, burning just like kerosene.

"That version of "Rooty" was recorded with great somber seriousness, but the song is basically a nonsense song. You know, a weird dream... One night, one guy, one dream. Wake up, take a leak, write it down, go back to sleep." (Greg Brown from the orgins of "Rooty Toot Toot For The Moon")
Lui Collins - Rooty Toot Toot For The Moon

And growl he goes.

What is he?
Well, who knows?
He sleeps all winter
When it snows.

Rare British blues gem: Bakerloo - Big Bear Ffolly.

5 Sept 2014

CREEP
Day #4 of compact photography and editing by numbers. Mijn hovercraft zit vol palingen.

While I was shooting this little guy by the puddle, a lady in her thirties started to poke it with the tip of her umbrella. Had to politely ask her to stop. Some ten minutes later, a group of about twenty people gathered behind my back, staring at my little friend. Slightly annoyed, I took it up and showed to the crowd, trying to explain it's only a rubber toy. Two women started screaming.

So f****** obvious: Radiohead - Creep (Live, Astoria, London).
